Giving To Others

Hey, welcome to my second blog. Today I'm going to write about a quote that we learned in my English class. The quote is " If you have much, give your wealth. If you have little, give your heart".

I think this quote means that if you have a lot of money or you are very wealthy, share it with others that are not as fortunate as you are. People who have a lot should be generous to others because it makes them a better person and they will feel good that they helped someone in need. Also you can help by running a charity and/or volunteering to raise money for the poor or unfortunate. People who do not have as much, can give love or show that they care to others by doing something nice for them.

There are some people who do not think about others who are in need, so this quote will teach them that it is important to give some of the things they have because there are a lot of people who are not as wealthy. Some rich people donate a lot of their money. Also there are a lot of charities and organizations in the world that help the poor. But many people who are caring , try to raise money or give stuff they don't need to others who don't have it. This quote relates to me as well because I always like to think about others before myself. For example, On Valentine's Day, I went to a nursing home and I talked to the elders, and gave them flowers to show that I cared for them.

My Love For Skating

Hi, in this blog I'm going to tell you about my passion for skating and how I started to learn it. Skating is one of the things I love to do most in my free time and for fun. I started to do it when I was in 5th grade. The place I love to skate at is , Skateland. Skateland has good music and a big rack to skate on. Skating makes me feel relaxed and I love doing it as an exercise.

At first I wanted to learn how to skate when I was in 4th grade and my friend invited me to her birthday party at Skateland. It was kind of embarrassing at first because at that time I didn't know how to skate well. But then I thought I should take some lessons, so my mom & dad signed me up for it . The next week, I started coming every Saturday to skateland and my coach helped me learn the basics. The coach showed me how to keep balance on the bar. It was really hard for me at first, so I kept falling. But then I kept practicing so I got the hang of it.

It took me about 3 weeks to finally learn how to skate well and also do tricks that I couldn't do before. I can now do tricks such as skating backwards and standing on one foot without falling !
Although skating is difficult at first , it's important to keep trying and always keep your balance. Hope you enjoyed my blog.
